The Session
Session is comprised of the minister and the ruling elders within the church. The ruling elders are male and female members who have been elected by the congregation and have demonstrated a mature faith that is recognized by others. The Session meets regularly with the minister and has oversight of the spiritual life of the members and adherents of the church.
The current Clerk of Session is George Robertson.
The Board of Managers
This group meets the third Tuesday of every month. Each member has been elected by the congregation for a 3 year term. They are responsible for the financial and physical needs of the church building.
The current Chairman of the Board of Managers is Keith Perry. The current treasurer is Barb Rokeby.
Marie Douglas Group of the WMS
This group of ladies meet on the first Tuesday of every month in the upper lounge. After a bag lunch and fellowship, they have a devotional and mission study provided by the Women’s Missionary Society of Canada and a short business meeting. Their primary purpose, in response to the love of God in Jesus Christ, is to encourage one another and all the people of the church to be involved in local and world mission through prayer, study, service and fellowship.
Margaret Hall Circle
The Margaret Hall Circle is a ladies group that meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:30pm in the upper lounge. They are mainly a social service group whose function is to serve others in various fundraisers, receptions and meetings. The money raised pay for a variety of improvements or purchases for the church. They provide refreshments and serving for memorial services and meetings. They put on the annual Fall Fun Fair and Luncheon, which includes a lunch, silent auction, bake and craft sale, and children’s activities.
Welcoming Committee
We have a number of people in the congregation who take turns welcoming worshippers to our church service as they enter the building.
The Greeters
Members of the church volunteer to hand out bulletins for each worship service.
